The purpose is to foster a sense of community with people from all around the world

I want to encourage as many people as I can to contribute their genuine, authentic perspectives. I’ve designed the survey so that it (hopefully) isn’t too big of a time commitment for you. Think of it as a quick journaling exercise. But the value and inspiration you’ll provide will resonate with readers more than you might think.

I am curious to see how someone views their world, and I want to understand the way they know things

To me, qualitative research is like the moving image of people’s lives into words, the art and science of words that cannot be measured by numbers. I know qualitative research cannot be generalised, and there is no scope of comparison between groups or treatments etc. But Albert Einstein said, “Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted” and I could not have said it better.

Living life is crazy, confusing, and scary

Making a blog, sharing my story and hoping to grow connections with those of the average, silent majority out there. Then I ask myself, whos a silent majority? I like to think the silent majority is our self conscious; our brain. We can be our worst enemies, or best friends, its a matter of self control. So, if you have a brain, your perfect for my blog! I hope to be able to write experiences that connect to my readers, and hope to grow friends through this experience. Even if only 2 people read this, being my aunt and my husband. It’ll still be exciting for my mental health and many more out there. Another reason I chose to start a blog, was being remembered. That sounds silly doesn’t it. Believe it or not, we were made to be on this big beautiful Earth for a reason. I am still learning why my presence is much needed, but I know that I am not here for nothing. Being able to write will create a memorabilia someday for my children, family and friends. This isn’t selfish at all, its making sure that someday, hopefully years and years down the road, my time on this earth was spent joyful and sharing my story. Everyone should be able to share their story, how to tell it, is completely up to you. Just imagine, my blog may be the stepping stone to a book that may come in my future. Its a matter of self control, and what’s next.

There was something in that smile

Keywords: lifejourney , strangers , talking

Slowly I started talking with them, from the little kids to elderly ones. They shared me their stories, the new gossips, their festivals and how they celebrate it. They told me about how their life changed, what work they do, about their children who worked in the cities and the struggle they went through. The kids wandered around me, showing me their play areas and their secret hide-outs. They were all friendly, welcoming and treated us as one among them. I walked along the green fields, sat by the pond, watched the cows grazing and enjoyed the evening prayers in the temple among the villagers.
