She had never realized what she was doing

I have to say, one of the things I have come to love about social media is all of the honest conversations I am seeing about this. I had no clue who to turn to as a pre-teen or teen, and a lot of these unwarranted pieces of advice plagued me through the early 2000s. Along with going to therapy, Instagram has been a saving grace for me, because there are words that appear in my feed that reinforce that it’s okay to enjoy your food; it’s okay to learn through it and be who you are. It has been a place to find power, and I wish I had access to more of it when I would try and find a solution to these comments.

Living life is crazy, confusing, and scary

Making a blog, sharing my story and hoping to grow connections with those of the average, silent majority out there. Then I ask myself, whos a silent majority? I like to think the silent majority is our self conscious; our brain. We can be our worst enemies, or best friends, its a matter of self control. So, if you have a brain, your perfect for my blog! I hope to be able to write experiences that connect to my readers, and hope to grow friends through this experience. Even if only 2 people read this, being my aunt and my husband. It’ll still be exciting for my mental health and many more out there. Another reason I chose to start a blog, was being remembered. That sounds silly doesn’t it. Believe it or not, we were made to be on this big beautiful Earth for a reason. I am still learning why my presence is much needed, but I know that I am not here for nothing. Being able to write will create a memorabilia someday for my children, family and friends. This isn’t selfish at all, its making sure that someday, hopefully years and years down the road, my time on this earth was spent joyful and sharing my story. Everyone should be able to share their story, how to tell it, is completely up to you. Just imagine, my blog may be the stepping stone to a book that may come in my future. Its a matter of self control, and what’s next.
