I’m looking forward to seeing what this could become

I decided to put this out here in hopes that my experiences and thoughts could somewhat connect to potential readers (especially my fellow Gen Zs!), but also to document my progress as a human bean. Most of all, this is to prove to myself that I can translate my goals into a reality with the right amount of effort and patience. Blogging ain’t easy! Living ain’t easy! But I guess this first post would be my starting point

This is one form of connection I have in my life, my blog – the ability to connect with people I have never met but portraying myself in a way that you can’t help but feel as if you know me

Connections to me are the people who know when and how to gently ease themselves into your daily life, their words or faces sitting in the palm of our hands, knowing what to say and when to say it. They don’t need to be encouraged to connect with you, they don’t need to be reminded of your situation and the potential hardship you’re facing – common sense says we’re all facing it, some worse than others. It’s the intangible yet undeniable connection with friends and family who know you inside out, who know the steps you have taken to get where you are now and the reasons for where you are at this very moment in time. It’s an inherent level of understanding.

I miss so much the feelings and experience of performing, the connection with other musicians, the connection with an audience, the pre and post concert chats, a feeling of a shared space of music

I know that it will be a long time before this will all return in the same normal space as before, but hope that as players, as listeners, as writers, as promoters, as composers we can create this sense of sharing the same world and can begin to find this our connection in these online formats as they begin to become more common.
